This document from Live at LICA (Now Lancaster Arts at Lancaster University) and Museum Development North West aims to chart how a small-scale museum and gallery, Peter Scott Gallery (Live at LICA), has begun to look at a more commercial side of digitisation through licensing a selection of digital images. The document details how the PSG integrated the preparation of digital images for licensing into a daily digital image management procedures. Case studies give precise details of the processes followed and the reasons for the decisions we made. There are step-by-step guides and recommendations as well as a list of sources and documents. This resource has direct relevance to Accreditation requirement 2.3 Documentation Policy: ‘The museum must be guided by a documentation policy statement. This may be part of a wider collections information policy.’
