The Case magazine [Design for]

The Case is a forum for debate and discussion, a space to explore new ideas and a showcase for new talent. Its primary objective is to document and promote the lives, times and attitudes of all those involved in the visual and creative arts. In this context, it aims to explore experimental formats and writings; to nurture the dialogue between the written word and visual culture and to develop the crucial relationship between the artist book, small press publishing and mainstream publishing. It exists to explore ideas, to be opinionated, to expand understanding, and to liberate the imagination. The Case is an ongoing project. One which has been published in various formats for the last eleven years. Full details of each issue can be found on The Caseroom Press Website. It has been peer reviewed in both Émigré Magazine (Issue 54, The Last Wave, 2000) and The Guardian. (http://books.guardian.co.uk/review/story/)..1743921.00.html). This project instigated the ongoing research output (bookworks) of The Caseroom Press. It brings together Tullett’s interests in visual culture and the dissemination of ideas to a wider audience, his subsequent creation of the magazine, and his involvement in the writing, art direction, design, editing and publishing of the magazine. He appointed the current editors (Ken Cockburn, an internationally recognised poet and writer and Alison Bowden, Manager, Edinburgh UNESCO, City of Literature) and Art director, Claudia Liefeld (a Freelance Graphic Designer based in Berlin and Vienna who has extensive experience in the design industry, notably with Spex Magazine [Berlin]).
