Characterisation of co-solvent effects in poly(vinyl alcohol) gels by oscillatory rheology

<p>Poly(vinyl alcohol) is an extremely versatile polymer but its uses in the gel state can be limited by the syneresis (ageing) shown in gels with water as the only solvent. To improve the ageing and, therefore, functionality of PVA gels they need to be made with water and co-solvents.</p>
