Biased jurors pose a problem in jury decision-making. Attempts to filter out biased jurors using psychometric tests are common, but not without limitations. During the European Association of Psychology (EAPL) Annual Conference (July 10-12, 2024) in Lisbon, Portugal, we showed how our new data-driven method, applied to eye movement data, can assess how biased a person is. Participants were asked to view videos with a white and a black actor committing a crime. Our method revealed distinct eye movement patterns for participants with low and high racial bias during certain intervals of the video.
