This is an evaluation of a change of curriculum of BSc Nursing delivered as part of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (UK) national programme of nursing education, known as 'future nurse'.

Changes were made in response to student feedback in relation to field specific content being not adequate for the smaller disciplines of children and young people's nursing, and mental health nursing, with a programme allegedly dominated by the needs of the Adult Nursing cohorts. This reflect national concerns, but the literature does not contain much objective evidence as to how improvements can be made and how effective they are in delivering change. This research aims to give some quantitative data as well as gathering qualitative data from students as to the effectiveness of the changes made to our courses.

This project collects data from existing students and recent graduates, and has had formal approval from LEAS: application #19013
