The generic notion of a business model is wellunderstood by investors and business managers andimplies a number of anticipations; chiefly that it is areplicable process that produces revenues and profits.At its heart is some replicable process, artefactor proposition around which the everyday practicesare formed. There are a number of reasons why thisconception is weak in the Creative Industries. Wehave identified that the rationale for �business models�in the Creative Industries include providing anattractor for non goal oriented creative activity, forstabilising emergent properties from creative activitiesand for maintaining the stability of these byanticipating revenues.
