The Discomfort Of Safety

To perpetually inhabit an uncomfortable world is draining. While liberal critics will continue to chastise safe(r) spaces for the limits they place on unfettered freedoms of expression, it is clear that—in a political climate in which the safety of already marginalized people is further diminished—spaces of respite and resistance are needed now more than ever.
