Jennifer Johnston

Senior Lecturer (X - Education)

I am a senior lecturer in education and I hold a PhD in science education, and I am a qualified Science Teacher (BSc. (Ed.) Hons). I have over 16 years of experience teaching in higher education (HE). My research interests include teacher education, mentoring and coaching in education, STEM education, and academic freedom in higher education. I have published in international journals on the area of teacher and STEM education. I have over 13 years PhD supervision experience, with more than five PhD and PhD (Professional) completions as director of studies and over 10 completions as 2nd supervisor. I have supervised a range of research topics including mathematics and science integration, primary mathematics, professional development, STEM and SEND topics.
